The structure comes from Morocco. Bridal silver in that region is built horizontal, layered across the chest, geometric and load-bearing in equal measure. This is that logic translated into bead and stone.

Two horizontal rows of rectangular gemstone tablets sit across the chest, connected by open beadwork loops. A single focal drop hangs from the center base. The loops are not decorative. They are the reason the piece moves rather than sits, and the reason it reads as lattice instead of bib.
