African Turquoise Desert Dusk Necklace

African turquoise is a trade name for a spotted green jasper from Africa, not true turquoise. The matrix patterning in blue-green and brown is a product of the stone's mineral composition, not a surface treatment. Each rectangular stone reads differently depending on where the matrix falls.

Rectangular African turquoise stones sit in a tapered descending grid, framed by lime green and royal blue seed bead lattice with teal bugle beads running the horizontal connectors. Teal glass teardrop beads hang along the base row. A single cobalt glass bead drops at center on its own strand.
