Blue Chalcedony Desert Dusk Necklace

Blue chalcedony is a microcrystalline variety of quartz with a waxy luster and a translucent quality that holds light rather than reflecting it. The pale, icy blue comes from trace mineral content in the silica structure. Not dyed. The color is geological, not cosmetic.

Rectangular blue chalcedony stones sit in a descending symmetrical grid, framed by a lattice of purple, gold, and teal seed beadwork. Teal glass teardrop beads run along the base. A single purple glass leaf bead hangs at center on its own strand for movement.

Pair it with teal, gold, or a crisp white linen.

For museum openings, conference keynotes, or a Tuesday that deserves better than Tuesday usually gets.
