Gandhara Necklace

The Gandhara is a vertical cascade. Triangular beadwork frames descend in sequence, each tier opening into a fan of teardrop gemstones before the triangles pick back up below. Geometry, then stone, then geometry again, all the way down.

The structure comes from ancient Gandhara, the northwest stretch of the Indian subcontinent where Greek, Buddhist, and Central Asian visual languages all showed up at the same time and started talking to each other. That conversation ended up in stupa architecture and stone friezes. Here it ends up in thread and stone instead of carved schist, which means you can actually wear it.
