Amazonite Gandhara Necklace

Amazonite is a blue-green feldspar. The color comes from lead and water impurities in the crystal structure, which sounds alarming and is completely fine. It has a waxy surface luster and an opacity that sits somewhere between translucent and solid. Colorado, Brazil, Madagascar.

The teal and olive triangular beadwork frames at the top run through the same descending geometry as the rest of the Gandhara line, triangles opening into fans, then picking back up again, before handing off to two tiers of irregular amazonite teardrops at the drop.

It falls clean down the front of a royal blue silk blouse, a navy wool turtleneck, a teal linen v-neck. Any neckline that gives a long pendant necklace room to do its job.
