Tiger eye is a pseudomorph. Quartz replaced crocidolite asbestos fiber by fiber over millions of years, preserving the parallel silky structure of the original mineral. That structure is what produces the optical band that rolls across the surface when the stone moves. It does not flash. It shifts, slow and directional, gold and brown depending on where the light hits.
Ferronerie is the French word for decorative ironwork, the forged grilles and scrolled lattice of 17th-century Europe that turned functional barriers into something worth looking at. That geometric logic is what this necklace is built on. Tiger eye tiles in a gunmetal and gold grid, a merged black glass and goldstone oval at the drop, an ivory ring at the junction, and a lavender strand of burnt orange glass leaves running the bottom edge. The warm end of the palette doing exactly what it should.
This is the necklace for the days you want the outfit to have a point. Wear with a deep teal v-neck, dark wash straight-leg jeans, and tan leather ankle boots.
