Snowflake Obsidian Cleopatra Necklace

Snowflake obsidian is volcanic glass. The white speckling is not pattern; it is cristobalite, a mineral that crystallizes within the glass as it cools. Each stone carries a different distribution of it. You cannot order two that look the same.

This hand-built Egyptian collar necklace runs snowflake obsidian stones across the upper band, framed by matte red and gray. A geometric border of red triangle beads lines the lower edge. A small gray scarab hangs from the center.

The palette is high contrast and it earns it. Wear it with a black turtleneck, a white button-down, or anything that gets out of its way. For openings, evenings, or any room where you want to register before you speak.
