Poppy Jasper Girandole Earrings

Poppy jasper is a brecciated jasper from California. The circular red and orange patterns on a cream or gray ground result from silica infilling fractures in the original stone. High visual interest per square millimeter.

This colorway runs a square poppy jasper center through a diamond spindle frame of red seed beads. Icy blue seed beads and flat square glass beads run the interior struts, pulling the warm stone into a cold palette. A beige glass whelk shell hangs at the base drop. Red and ice: the contrast is the point.
