Moss Agate Hoysala Necklace

Moss agate is a chalcedony. The inclusions that read as moss or landscape are dendritic growths of chlorite or hornblende minerals suspended in translucent silica. No two stones cut the same cross-section of that internal structure. Sourced from India, Brazil, and the United States.

The three square focal stones anchor a horizontal ladder of purple and green seed beads. Three geometric teardrop pendants drop from each focal stone, weighted with small accent beads at the base. Anchoring loop beads alternate green and purple. The palette was built around the green of the inclusions, with purple as the complementary contrast.

This handmade beaded necklace sits at the collarbone. Wear it with a deep plum wrap dress and low heels, or a sage linen blazer over a white tee.
