Blue Chalcedony Adriatic Splendor Necklace

Chalcedony is a microcrystalline quartz, translucent to semi-opaque, with a waxy luster that softens light rather than throwing it back. The pale blue variety gets its color from trace mineral content in the silica matrix.

Seven pale blue chalcedony squares frame the collar, connected by deep cobalt seed bead triangles that pull the palette into contrast without breaking it. Six fringe strands in cobalt and pale blue drop below, weighted at the ends with blue goldstone rounds: a glittering glass with copper crystals suspended in it, catching light the way the chalcedony doesn't.

At the center, a geometric beaded diamond drop in cobalt and pale blue. At its base, a small pale blue glass butterfly.
